Jefferson County has developed the Jefferson County Community Wildfire Protection Plan. A
draft copy of the Plan
is available for the public to review and to provide comments. The purpose of developing the Plan is to minimize or
eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from wildfire through effective mitigation.
Jefferson County is gathering input on the draft plan until March 4, 2026. The draft plan can be viewed on the County's website. Comments can be emailed to Payton Morris at pmorris@h2opartnersusa.com.
